ICHF Events announces new partnership with the Sarah Hurley Academy
ICHF Events and Sarah Hurley have announced a multi-year partnership to bring creative business education to the CHSI Stitches programme of events through Sarah’s new ‘Sarah Hurley Academy,’ launched in 2022. The Sarah Hurley Academy draws from Sarah’s industry and business successes to help entrepreneurs and small businesses at all stages. The Academy provides education to small business, entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs via a comprehensive range of courses and resources.
Sarah Hurley will be at the craft trade show on stand B26, which runs from Sunday 19th to Monday 20th February 2023 at the NEC, Birmingham and will provide free advice from the academy stand alongside a host of new initiatives exclusive to the partnership. The entrepreneurial business advice is targeted at businesses at a range of stages; those starting out in the craft world, looking to start in the craft world, or those businesses looking for growth and direction.
Sarah Hurley said: "The academy and the trade show are the perfect partners for new and established businesses to focus and thrive in the retail world, especially at this challenging time. I'm looking forward to meeting lots of businesses at the event, whatever stage they are at, and providing advice and guidance."
Simon Burns, Managing Director ICHF Events said: "CHSI Stitches has a long and proud history of providing advice and support to small businesses. By its nature, the craft industry has a high percentage of independent businesses run by people with a real passion for what they do. We're delighted to partner with Sarah and to be able to offer free access to her advice to visitors to the show."

Sarah Hurley confirms changes at the company
International lifestyle brand, Sarah Hurley, today confirms changes at the company.
Following a decade of accelerated expansion, family bereavements in 2019 and 2020, and the ongoing pandemic, the decision has been taken to restructure the company. Despite multiple buyout and investment offers over the last few years, Sarah – President and CEO - has always wanted to maintain an independent, 100% owned, private company. Now, with further personal investment this journey continues as a family owned company and can drive her vision forward into an exciting new direction, focusing on continued growth both in the UK and Internationally.
Sarah comments “Restructuring the company has not been a swift decision, but the current climate brought things forward. This broader strategic plan, given the current world situation, puts us in a position to continue to trade strongly with a focused family team, from our offices in the UK and USA. I’m very proud of what has been achieved over the last 10 years, especially during some challenging times. This new focus allows us to continue to serve our customers and clients, develop our licensing, publishing and media programs and reach our company targets both in the UK and abroad while keeping family (and those like family!) at the heart of everything we do”
Brand Development Manager (AKA Coordinator of Chaos), Danielle, adds “Having worked for Sarah for a long time, I am excited by the plans we have for 2020 and beyond - as a family we are more focused and passionate to bring our customers more great products and services.”
International Business Development Director (AKA Captain International) adds “As a stand alone ‘cousin’ in the US, some people might find this challenging however, I feel completely included in all discussions regarding current business and future plans as well. I find it comforting I can call at anytime and be in instant contact with every member of the Sarah Hurley family. I have been a member of many teams in my life but this truly is a family. We all care about each other and are willing to be there for one another in every facet of our lives.“
